Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS’ WORK?
A: first, I’m able to offer photo and video.
I can also guarantee that most photographers you’ll reach out to have told you about the “packages” they offer. that’s another thing that makes me different…i don’t do cookie-cutter packages, but provide custom, tailored proposals that fit what matters to you.
second, i take all of my photos in intimate, relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible. sessions are candid & fun, but i give gentle direction when needed.
this natural approach is different from the uncomfortable cues that you might hear elsewhere, such as “hold that smile.” yuck.
and third, you’ll notice that my number and quality of reviews are far different from what you might find elsewhere.
Q: WHAT IS HYBRID PHOTO & Video coverage?
A: Hybrid coverage means hiring a wedding photographer who can do both photo and video coverage at the same time. This gives you the best of both worlds—beautiful photos and engaging videos—without breaking the bank or hiring extra people. It’s a smart choice if you want great coverage while keeping costs in check.
Also, think about the vibe at your wedding. Hiring separate photo and video teams means more folks around. If you prefer a cozy, less crowded atmosphere, this is something worth considering!
Q: who is “matt phoenix” if your name is jason?
A: so, my middle name is “matthew”, hence “matt”… and “phoenix” was my favorite word as a kid. so no, i don’t work for this guy. it’s me. you can call me jason.

A: absolutely. i love destination weddings and have had the privilege of shooting in Antigua, Nevis, Spain, New York, Wisconsin, and more. please send me more information on your travel plans, and i will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs.
Q: DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?
A: you don’t have to, but I love to include prints with your custom proposal. if you’d prefer otherwise, you have the freedom to use the high-resolution files to print from the location of your choice since i send your photos via WeTransfer.com. i’ve found that Artifact Uprising has great quality, but there are many choices out there!
Q: HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE THERE AT OUR WEDDING?
A: since each proposal is tailored to your needs, each couple decides whether they’d like a second photographer added to their proposal, but additional shooters are definitely an option!
Q: DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ELOPEMENTS?
A: of course! depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, i have special rates for weekday weddings and elopements.
